Hahnemühle Museum Etching is a natural white cotton art paper with an inkjet coating specially optimised for FineArt printing.
This heavyweight textured paper does not contain optical brighteners and is characterised by its high stability. The finely textured surface with fine felt structure lends FineArt prints added depth and a three-dimensional effect. Combined with the pure cotton base, this creates a wonderfully soft tactile feel and artistic impression.
The premium matt inkjet coating produces excellent print results. Colours are wonderfully vivid, the depth of the black truly stands out and details are reproduced perfectly.
The acid- and lignin-free Museum Etching meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance and is ideal for reproducing photographs and works of art.
The deckle edges bring an old touch to your images and highlight the floating images in glass boxes.
You can add white borders to your picture during the Online Order. You can choose from the following widths: 2 - 3 - 5 - 8 - 10 - 12 and 15 cm.
The white border is added to your image size. So nothing of your original image will be cropped. No white border can be added to the maximum dimensions. (max. 110 cm width)
Alu-Dibond consists of two white lacquered aluminum layers with a plastic core in between. As a result, an Alu-Dibond remains extremely flat.
The white lacquered aluminum layers are optimally suited for mounting images.
Our standard Alu-Dibond has a thickness of 3 mm.
We can protect some papers extra with a protective film.
We recommend a Satin Protective Film. (Up to 150 cm width)
It is of a high optical quality and protects the optical density of color pigments.
It extends the color fastness through a built-in UV-Block and protected against light scratches.
It significantly reduces the touch sensitivity of fine art papers.
But a protective film also cancels out the unique visual aspect of the
Fine-Art and Special Photo Papers.
We can also protect these with an invisible varnish.
We also mount them in a glass frame with non-reflective museum glass.
Hahnemühle Protective Spray protects digital Fine Art prints from external influences. The aerosol spray lays like a fine film on the paper, without changing the paper structure. It fixes colours of pigment-and dye ink and prevents an eventual colour fading also the intensity and the high brilliance of the colours stay permanently.
The coating increases the abrasion resistance of Fine Art papers, so the risk of fingerprint marks and scratches are reduced. Hahnemühle Protective Spray contains a UV absorber and thus offers additional protection against UV light.
The improved formulation is fast drying. A yellowing of the print due to the spray is not possible.
